Currenly, the difference between melle and ranged weapon sets is dealing more damage at greater risk or dealing less damage at minimum risk.

The most logical solution to this would be to make melle weapon sets to have more survability than ranged, both dealing equalized damage, but since classes are not locked into being ranged or melle, that is impossible to do without balance issues right? Right?

What I am suggesting is making ranged weapons scale better with power and melle weapons scale less, but have more base damage. This will make melle weapons to benefit more from building toughness/vitality and ranged to benefit more from full offensive gear. Thus still keeping the risk factor and, in my oppinion, making game more fun.

If melee has too much defensiveness, then if they reach a ranged weaponset they will outshine them in every aspect and shut them down.

What do you mean? Pvp? Weapon switches?

In pvp, thats why you are ranged, your goal is to keep melle away from you. You are ranged at the cost of survability.

If you want to be both melle and ranged, then either have balanced gear or select which set you want to be better I gues.
