Guild Wars 2

We all know that Guild Wars 2 has an impressive amount of character customization available to choose from, but I’m sure by now you’ve seen 1 or more people with the exact carbon copy hair style as you. (I know i have.)

What if we took it up a notch? I’ve been noticing that the more I play, the more I notice how many people choose the same hair styles. Then I thought of a key component while styling my hair this morning.

What if, there were bangs options at character creation/barber shop?

Say they gave the same exact amounts of hair styles, but removed the bangs off of those models, then in a separate hair tab, you could choose the style of bangs you wanted. I think the possibilities of everyone having the same hair styles would be nullified and people would have to be more creative in how they designed their character because of this added feature.

Along with the bangs I think the option to increase/decrease hair length itself would be AMAZING. Because it would also make the hair styles themselves more varied, and versatile.

I was also thinking that since Barbershops would use gems to gain access, they should include exclusive hairstyles that are only available through the Barbershop. That way there would be more incentives to use the barbershop.

I believe they had kits for changing looks after creation in the Black Lion Trading Post but were pulled for the moment as they weren’t functioning as intended. However additional customizations brought with Gems would be cool, maybe a more expensive kit version with additional options? eg. normal edition 200 gems, special edition 350?

I would love to make my own bangs and set my own hair length. I am in perpetual envy of all the wonderful long hair options the Norn has yet as a Human my choices are very limited. Most of my characters are running around in various bob styles.
Another thing that I think would be cool would be to add different channels to hair so that you can use multiple colors like highlights.
I would gladly pay gems for any of these options

I just also thought that for the men hair length/bangs would be kind of weird, but beard length? that would be cool as well, get some Gandalf the Grey “you shall not pass” up in that biznitch.
