Better camera control for screenshots
That degree of control would be lovely. Meanwhile, a somewhat annoying workaround is to /sleep. That ducks most characters out of camera view, though does force an upward view angle from the ground.
I’d also love to see more control of the camera for picture taking. It’s a pain when to take a decent picture of your character you need to basically back the camera into a wall so it zooms in to a proper degree (but not too close or your character becomes transparent.. sigh)
While I would also like better camera control…
This game is now 9 months old and still lacks that, do you really think it hasn’t been brought up before? ANet’s response was something in the line of “it’s on the todo list”. Right now they’re busy with other things…

That doesn’t surprise me, though to be honest I have been watching GW2 Guru over on their Twitch.tv and the e-sports is pretty cool I have to admit, obviously I intend not to derail the subject but I thought I needed to clarify that esports is good for community.
I suppose then the question is that we can’t have restrictive camera movement especially when casting competitive games. You want as much camera control as possible to make the casting experience good enough, also to be able to see a lot of battles.
Free camera control would definitely be a plus when spectating PVP matches, especially when introducing a map before the game starts. Personally I think spectators should be given a large range of camera options, camera hotkeys for snapping to certain positions on the map – for example, CTRL+F1 to set a camera snap point, and then press F1 to reach that snap point, maybe have preset snap points for each of the different capture locations on PvP maps, make it easier to spectate battles and switch between them.
Just small camera control options like that will make esports a hell of a lot easier to cast.
