Better ledge-jumping AI for ranger pets
Fully agree here, at least if the animal can’t jump down the cliff it should then not attract aggro from a certain distance away from the player.
Not a fix, but a passable workaround:
Switch pets after jumping down. The old pet despawns, mobs it aggroed reset back to where they were, and your new pet spawns right where you are.
It is quite a problem with pet running around, i work around it with stowing the pet away usually until fighting something.
P.S. Using a raven so i honestly was like WTF the first time… Y U NO FLY DOWN U STUPID BIRD -.-’
Totally agree, this is a real problem in PvP.
Other players are constantly jumping over and under things, keeping the pet out of the fight. Since about 25% of your damage is from the pet, this is becomes serious class-balance issue.
The pet just has no hope of delivering the damage it’s supposed to. And the cooldown on the switch is just too long to be a solution to this problem.
If you could stow and re-eject your pet, that might be a solution, but there’s a cooldown on that also.
