I don’t know how much Arena Net reads these forums but I have an idea. What if there was a Black Lion Trading App for smart phones that allowed players away from their PCs to still trade on the market. This would be especially helpful for those of us that enjoy making money by trading!

Since the Trading Post is just a website, I assume this was the original plan. They kind of scrapped that idea however when they discontinued the extended experience and went with a public API instead. One day, they will probably release a public API for the TP, allowing for such an app to be created – just not by them.

That said, such an app can already be created with 100% functionality. The only problem however is that you need to leave your client logged in somewhere and it would probably be considered a violation, but technically, so is gw2spidy. Placing buy orders is actually quite simple and can be done by anyone. Interacting with actual items, such as selling an item, is much harder.

That is very interesting! I would like to see an app like this someday, personally. I can’t always be at my PC cuz I’m at college usually, but I’ll have my phone! Make bank until I get to log in @ home.

They couldn’t make an authenticator app work. I doubt we’ll see this anytime soon.

Sorry, man. I don’t do forums much. I didn’t know there was a suggestions board. I just figured I’d get more feedback in the general forums over the black lion. If it really bothers you that much, go spam the other post asking why I posted it twice. Then I’ll answer and say I did it for the lulz.
