Block Deplete Endurance
A whopping total of 3 classes get shields. What about the other classes that do not get shields?

Almost all classes get blocks though. I’m pretty sure the OP is specifically talking about block skills, not shields specifically.
So for example, my Mesmer has two ways to “block” without a shield: with a scepter or sword.

Read my last little paragraph there… where I mention i only thought about shields.. but you’d want something similar for all weapon types… yea.. that part…
I just only thought out how shields would work.. but yes, you’d want something for everyone. I’d just like to add some variation to combat by making the endurance bar be more than a resource solely for dodge, but to add in class && weapon specific combinations that can also utilize it in a unique way.
I like the idea of that.

just as a whole have a different button for it, like how dodge roll is two taps any direction, and make blocking viable with any weapon set. kapow. Admittedly idea inspired by the elder scrolls online.
I definitely do not like that idea. I think that this block mechanic should only be incorporated for the skills that already block.

The problem is:
necromancers have no block at all
elementalists only have a block in their utility slot skills so they can’t use it with their weapon
thieves can’t block melee attacks (except for underwater)
plus what about aegis?
A mechanic like this can’t only be for select classes, it should be for every class or no class at all. Or alternatively have a new class with class mechanics that interact with endurance.
