Block and calling targets
I also think that the target should only appear on monsters…when targeting an NPC or a party member, it should just be text and you should be able to do something else besides calling another target to remove it from said target.
Just a couple really non-intuitive UI quips about the game that were better in GW1.
What gives? Why run away from everything GW1 short of what you used to draw over naive and unsuspecting fans?

I understand the decision.
In GW1, it was a target button next to the party member’s health bar.
They attempted to make everything much more visual in GW2, so a simple button next to a hp bar had to go and be replaced by something actually within the playing area. Just my guess.
I don’t really have a preference to either one.

The reason they are calling a target is they are marking a mesmer, a mesmer has several skills to remove a target, thus you keep re-placing it.
Also…“clogs the chat”? What are you doing chatting in the window? You are in spvp, active constantly on the go pvp. The only chat you need there is to be able to notice your teamates calling out for help.
If you are chatting with guildmates and such there, well, you are missing things in the world and likely getting rocked. Use a voip for your guildmates to get your attention if that is the reason.
lothefallen, they are using the world and the lore. Games evolve and change with each itineration. If you expected it to be the exact same game systems only with upgraded graphics you were deluding yourself.
