Weapons that start with no effects, but as you kill more mobs that are your level or higher with these weapons, they get better effects, like, 5 stages of effects
stage 1- When you get the weapon, no effect
stage 2- After killing 500 mobs, arah weapons effects
stage 3- After killing 1000 mobs, destroyer weapons effects
stage 4- After killing 2000 mobs, corrupted weapons effects
stage 5- After killing 5000 mobs, firebringer/volcanus effects
dungeons should count as X mobs killed because some people like to do mostly dungeons that don’t involve a lot of mob killing, as for fractals, mob count should be as much as fractal level per fractal, if you do level 29, you get 29×3, if you do the whole run.
I know some people will say that we have a lot of weapons with effects, but we are lacking designs (with effects) on certain weapons, (daggers, staff, rifle, etc…), thus making this is going to solve the problem, they should also have a really cool physical item, something epic…
Any feedback is appreciated.

And how would that differ from just having those skins outright?

Because let me tell you, unless the cost is lower, no one would go for this. After all, if you like any of the skins before the “top tier” one, you would get those instead.

And what if I don’t like Arah, Destroyer, Corrupted or Volcanus? What if I want Juggernaut, Bolt, Twilight, Incinerator and The Dreamer?

There is one progression I could see working. The Cultural pieces. Both armor and weapons.

I can’t really understand exactly, what you’re suggesting here.
Could you go a bit more into details please?

But maybe its just only my lack of understanding English, as I’Äm no native speaker of it xD

Are you suggesting here, that weapons should change their skins, so more monsters you kill with them ?

Or are you suggesting here, that Stats of a weapon should change, so more monsters you kill with them ??

or maybe both?

From what I understood, he’s saying that the weapons would change their skins with more monsters killed. He called it “bloodlust weapon” simply because Bloodlust is the name of the most commonly used Sigil that provides on-kill bonuses.

So weapons that change their skins over killstreaks…

Sure, why not, but then hopefully with new skins and not just only recycled skins and changing skins that seem to belong together in a kind of “evolution”

I’m thinking about that on the weapon design system of the Drakengard-Games on PS2. Weapons there “evolved” themself further so more enemies you killed with them.
Every weapon there had like 3 or 4 “Evolution Stages” and changed slightly its appearance everytime the weapons evolved to their next Evolution Stage looking everytime a bit more epic and increase in their powers/skills for the character.

For example that instead of shooting 1 fireball with the weapon, you could shout up to 3 seperate fireballs with the weapüon akittens final stage and the animation of those fireballs becomes more and more epic with higher weapon stages (bigger balls, more intense fire, more dangerous sounding effects ect.)

Alot more visual weapon/skill animation customization would be really something I’d like to see in GW2 being added that way.

A way how anet could maybe implement a similar gameplay feature like that is giving every weapon that is of exotic to higher quality a unique “Weapon Aspect Elite Skill”
So a Skill, that can be chosen as your Elite Skill, which becomes over some time more and more powerful in regard of how many enemies you’ve slayed with the weapon and whose animation effects change also over tiem so more enemies you killed and so further the weapons aspect skill improves, until it reaches its maximum evolution stage.

PS: there you collected also with your weapons “exp” basically for every kill.

PPS: sorry, I’ve to, this game just needs a bit more advertising to increase the chances for a western release ^^

I’m assuming the general concept is that the weapons themselves become more and more ‘flashy’ as you progress through the achievement.

I like the idea, but I don’t like the concept of having them tied to a certain dungeon or fractal.

I would approve more if they were their own separate set of weapons. This wouldn’t tie them down to anything in specific and their effects would be original.

They aren’t tied to anything, its just a weapon set, but since not everyone does orr roaming (killing a lot of mobs in a low amount of time)and it’s not that easy to get 5k kills, making each dungeon completed = 50 kills is fair for dungeoners, also, the concept of the weapon is to be a “living” weapon, the same concept this game is using for updates, instead of 1 huge expansion, a lot of small updates over time.
