Hello there.

I’d suggest you reduce the ammount droped of those materials to 10% of what they are at the moment and reduce their requirements to 10% of what they are required aswell, so le’ts say…

A dungeon drops 50, it would drop 5, and instead we need use 100 for each craft we would use 10

My point is, it would waste less bank/inventory space, while we stil obtain the same amount/cost ratio, since i think is insane get some 400 500 a day and craft use 100 each …, if it would get 40-50 and craft consume 10, would be same ratio, but way less bank space.

My suggestion though.

Thanks.

It would have been fine if it was introduced like that. But right now if they changed it wouldn’t be fair to any new/non-80 player. I have a couple thousand dragonite ore lying around, if they reduced the requirement to 10 instead of 100 then I’d be able to make enough ascended weapons for all of my alts for the rest of the game. The same thing goes for dust for most people, and emperial fragments for dungeon runners.

I’m not saying that something shouldn’t be done, but I think a 90% decrease is a bit too much. Also a lot of things don’t even give 10 of X (looking at most jumping puzzles and any non dragon/golem world boss). Maybe start with a 50% (or 75%) cut instead.

It would be better if they introduced new sinks for them (and not like what they did for zhaitaffy and candy corn).

1) Have a mystic forge recipe that lets you convert 1 material to another. 250 X, 1 Y, <2 other things that are used in mystic forge recipes> to get some number of Y.

2) Have a straight up vendor, 1k ore/fragments to get 50-100 of the opposite. 1K dust to get 10-50 ore/fragments.

3) Give them some value so you can sell them to a merchant (very unlikely since most of the recent patches are about sucking money/mats out of the economy)

4) Heck just make them trade-able for other valuable things (5k? for lodestone, 1k? for an oby shard), at least that help make “ascended the bridge towards a legendary” as we could use those mats to help reduce the costs.

Sadly, I fear that anet might go with a fifth option when ascended armor comes out, and just have the prices for ascended armor be very, very high. I hope this isn’t the case, especially since all of the mats are account bound, but we’ll see.

They should just finalyl implement Jeweller 500 and allow that craftign job to make out of the new tier 7 materials also new tier 7 upgrades!!

And start with Job Level 400 recipes here, instead of needing to be first 450 to be able at all to do somethign with all the dust and fragments.

If jewelers would be able to make tnew ascended upgreads/accessoires finally to level up that way from 400 to 500, it would be the absolute perfect solution for this overflooding issue aroundpiles of dust and fragments from the tier 7 materials, which you receive absolutely way too fast/easy..
If like a half a douzen full of stacks for dust already in my bank, daily becoming more and more and I’Äm just not able to make something useful out of this stuff, because I have no weapon related crafting job yet at 450+ to be able to make somethign with the stuff.

Thats imo the biggest design flaw about the introduction of the new materials, that anet hasn’t well enough thought out to implement this stuff from the begin also with a craftign job, that can be used as item sink for all the massive amounts of dust and fragments to use the new materaisl for leveling up to job level 500.

Either this, or ANet should make tier 7 materials all salvageable, toreceive out of them randomous amounts of randomous lower tier materials and rarely also lodestones ect.

That would also help in reducing the material grind in GW2 for certain specific materials at least.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside

If I understand the OP correctly, his/her issue is bag/bank slots.

So I respectfully suggest that a much better fix than just adjusting all the Ascended mats formulas would be to increase stack size on EVERTHING to 1000 instead of 250. This has been suggested and begged for several times in this and other Forum sections.

The only issue I see with this is what about the empy fragments you get doing mini dungeons or jumping puzzles. In those you only get around 3-9 so reducing that would either make the rewards go away completely for jps or reduce it to 1 which is way to high in comparison to a dungeon only giving you 5. WvW also has lower drop amounts for doing varies things which would be another issue.

I get where you are coming from though it is a minor annoyance whenever I can’t deposit them due to already having 250. That being said it really is just a minor annoyance, since I do have my crafting up that high I just quickly refine them and be on my way. For those that don’t have their crafting that high I imagine it is a big bother though, because I know I wouldn’t just destroy them, I would want to save them for when I could use it.

I don’t care to do dungeons and currently get the vast majority of emperical fragments from WvW camps and towers.

There is no way I would want to see the amount I get from these sources reduced because they are a small enough amount for me to get and is typically my biggest impediment to getting my ascended. I’m still 125 away from my warhorn and that is the last thing I need, I have ample of everything else. You have to tag that camp super or you don’t get any and it isn’t always easy to do that when I’m on(some people like to ninja them and I’m missing the ninja.) Then there is the need before greed and I don’t always get to greed on the tower champs either because they need me elsewhere.

If you don’t like having so much because you find it easy to get, just start deleting the stuff. Once I get a stack of 250 bloodstone bricks, I’ll stop keeping it. Set a limit for yourself and stop hoarding.

I do feel that all crafting stuff should have a general increase in stack size. Getting enough of the stuff to kit out one character takes more than what we can store and I feel that is where the storage limit should at least be raised.

I speak for my self and no one else. Only fools believe they speak for a majority.
