These bandits are way too annoying for me.
I can’t even kill a mob with one of these things following me. Let a lone have TWO have them on you.

They really need to be removed from the game. The’yre not hard, the’yre not fun, and they’re just annoying.

EDIT
Okay, they don’t have to be removed from the game. But they really should be changed to make it less annoying.

Did you try to dodge the bomb? I would assume not considering you want them removed..

I’m only responsible for what I say, not for what you understand.

Yes I dodge the bombs. I only get so many dodges. When you have two bombers, you don’t have enough endurance to dodge two at a time.

And Yes this is from Brisbain wildlands.

This is such a stupid mechanic.

Not to diminish your frustration, but I think you just have to watch for the “placement” action by the bandit. They seem to take a full second at least to actually place a bomb, then there is a short delay before it goes off. I have seen it many times in Queensdale, just south of Shaemoor near the river at the bottom of a dirt ramp (there is one there who summons 2 other bandits when attacked). I focus on him and rarely get hit by the bomb explosion without dodging anything. When I see him pause, I move away immediately. I tend to encounter him doing an egg run from that spot to the dam at the far west (reptile eggs and some moa at the end).

Maybe if there were 2 or more it would be a bit more difficult to keep track of, so I can easily see a request to spread them out or use them more sparingly if they are too frequent in Brisban Wildlans, but I do not really remember much issue with them there either (been a while since I completed that area).

lol wait till you run CM now after leet babys cried that it was to easy. In the changes they added they didnt mention the additions of Bombers. When they throw a bomb at you and if hit, you are knocked down and cant get up for like 3 seconds and guess what… the bomb goes off in 3 sec. Guess what else….. Yep the second you get blown up you are knocked down for another 3 seconds….. yes you are correct again…. another bomb tossed at you just as you get ready to stand again. Unless one of your team can stun/fear/knockdown this guy you are probably going to die. If you are in a Pug… Kiss your kitten goodby.

That mob incites rage and cost players thousands of dollars. OMG $1000 on what you might ask……. Keyboards…. yep I have already had to put a few keys back in mine. Never knew they would jump off the board like that!.

The problem isn’t so much the bandits themselves, it’s the fact that, in GW2, multi-stun protection doesn’t seem to be working.

What happens is that one bandit plants a bomb near you, and you get knocked back and then knocked down. Before you can get up, another bandit plants a bomb near you, and it explodes before the previous knockdown is over.

The result is that you’re basically “stunlocked” forever, either until you die or until one of the bandits gives up or gets delayed, giving you a chance to dodge.

Virtually every other MMO has some kind of mechanism to prevent this. For example, if you get knocked down for 3 seconds, you also get a 3.5-second immunity from knockdowns (and stuns, etc.). This means you’ll always have at least half second of control over your character to perform some action, so you don’t get locked out forever. In GW2 this is either missing or bugged.

To make matters worse, some of the mobs that do this are, themselves, immune to CC, so even if you’re in a party there’s very little that your friends can do; you just have to keep your fingers crossed and hope that the random number generator stops hating you.
