At the moment, achievements seem pretty much meaningless (I know they have talked about karma rewards), so apart from a title there is no reason for them to exist. What I suggest is that some achievements will give a small boost relating to the achievement. For example, if you complete the 1000 risen killed, you get a 1% damage bonus vs risen. If you get the combat healer title, you get a 50 bonus to healing. The ultimate besieger title (correct name?) could give 5% faster siege building. Not a gamebreaking boon, just a small reward for putting the time into that activity. Any improvements/suggestions/thats a terrible idea?

I agree that there could be bonuses, but not with stats. They’d have to be small enough not to impact on the game, and then, because they’d have no profound effect, they’d be pointless.

What about, depending on the title / achievement, you get a cosmetic armour / weapon skin, towns clothes, items of use ect?

For example, complete all of the Explorable Mode dungeons / Jumping Puzzles would give you an Indiana Jones towns clothes with Whip emote. Killing 1000 Drakes would award you with Drakescale Weapon and Armour skins. Getting Achievements in WvW would award Badges of Honour.

I support this. Since the game is largely about cosmetic gear, this type of reward is much better than what would potentially be a seemingly meaningless stat increase.
