Bring Guild Wars into GW2
In Guild Wars there was a PvP mode that was guild vs guild. In GW each guild had a guild hall and GvG would take place in one of their halls. I don’t know why they didn’t include these features.
Yea, I miss that too. Though in this thread, I’m thinking of a large scale guild wars rather than one guild vs another.
First of all, I have been enjoying the game and I would to thank Anet for their effort in making such a great game. Particularly I like the idea of WvWvW but however it’s difficult for medium to large guilds to organise WvWvW events due to queue. Furthermore WvWvW also has become zergfest because many organised guilds can’t enter the game.
Perhaps Anet would consider in making a game mode that extends from the current WvWvW that allow guilds to enter the instances and battle out each other. The instances would be divided into several tiers to cater small, medium and large guilds (tier based on the number of participants from one guild). Each instance has its own objectives and purposes that contribute to overall progress of WvWvW.
For example, I’m thinking:Instance A: 3-5 guild members required to enter
Instance B: 6-12 guild members required to enter
Instance C: 13-20 guild members required to enter
Instance 20+ guild members required to enterOf course the numbers are not set in the stone but this is merely a concept design. Please note that I’m not trying to change WvWvW so that it hinders non-guild participants to join. I prefer the current WvWvW should be kept as it is. My idea is just a suggestion that may be worth considering if Anet wants to encourage people to band together into guilds and giving us purpose to achieve common goals.
Feel free to give inputs, cheers
Lets call A Team Arena B Hero Battles C Guild Battles and D Heros Accent
I like this idea a lot.
“Lets call A Team Arena B Hero Battles C Guild Battles and D Heros Accent”
Yea, again … those formats only involve 1 guild versus another (or few guilds), not a war of many guilds. Not that I’m against of those formats of course.
I dident say anything about formats .it just seems silly to me to call it A,B,C and D so i gave them names .
