Guild Wars 2

As a fairly active guild wars one player I find my self reminiscing of what I enjoyed about the game and thinking what could guild wars 2 take from its predeccesor. When doing this I find myself again and again being reminded of my beloved monk ( R.I.P ). Although Monks were generally focused on healing, there were also many other uses such as protection Monks and also smiting Monks. I think a Monk could easily fit in with other classes as a smite class with skills such as Ray of Judgement, making a reappearance. Not to mention Monks could add large new content to lore and even the living story with things to do with the human gods becoming more active in Tyria once again. I just really hope the Monk class is released back into the game so I can once again smite my opponents down!

Try a Guardian. Smiter monks were essentially molded into the Meditation Guardians of today. Heck, certain skills like Smite Condition are still around, too.

I have a guardian and I’m sorry to say it feels nothing like my Monk from the original it works completely different :/

Agree with you guardian=paragon, Monk were my favorite profession to play in a group without heroes. Currently warrior is the best healer but even that don’t heal enough to facetank a backstab theif. If you try you will die thats why most players just go full zerker because support is just not powerful enough.

warrior base healing 1,2k per shout with Vigorous Shouts and 500hp/regen with Compassionate Banner how do you heal this much with other professions without healing power?

I don’t even understand why healing comes into this, ANET have already said they dont want a dedicated healing class I would just enjoy the Monk to come back as a smiting dps class which could deal a lot of conditions I would just enjoy to see its revival that’s all.

Uhh uhhh uhh Mesmers can heal like 4k every 2seconds reliably.
You said best healer, not best healer, on the side.. lol.

Water ele just heals a bunch regardless…
