Would be great if you could position like party window/mini map and others as in gw.
That would help players like me who can’t focus on different points of the screen at the same time.

Looking bottom right at mini map then straight to top/bottom left for party its a bit of a pain.

That is such a great feature in gw1, u could actually drag and move all the little thing on the interface and resize them so it would fit each and every player.

Please look into it!

well i do hope they look into it.

on like 24" + monitors even making interface larger it doesn’t help.

I absolutely don’t want to run window mode just to have a better view of everything without changing focus everytime.

This game has nice eye candy, I intend to continue playing it in high res and full screen.

Honestly, no one else has trouble with how uncustomizable the gw2 interface is?

Lets say for example you have 2 guards in a party. 1 gives aegis, now then you wouldn’t want to give aegis at the same time and waste it.

Now I have to go allllll the way to the left… by this time maybe the boss already spiked and team now downed because there was no aegis.. then maybe some idiot agroed stuff behind, alllll the way to the bottom right to see mini map.

Just an example….

Such a great GIF, it’s how I felt about WoW with a lot of stuff near the end, haha.

A more on-topic note, I would like a little UI customization. At the very least I’d like to scale some of the features, I don’t really need the button bar to be so large, lol.

What I hate the most about this lack of UI customization in GW2 is the enemy portrait bar IN THE WAY. I keep clicking on it instead of casting my skills at 1500 range. It also hides animations above enemy head. I often miss Dwayna’s special attack which throws a blue thing in the air because this huge portrait bar hides everything except if I place my screen looking up, which is stupid.

The other thing is the limitations on the map. I can’t place it in another corner. The other thing is the downed state UI which is kitten ing me off. Why does it have to hide the mini-map? If only I could decide what to show/hide for both states.

To resume, the current UI is bad and we need customization to fix it!

I prefer my party list near my mini-map on the right and my quests on the left.

Please give us this choice again!

UI customization would be a huge plus…. anyone who has played a ranger (meaning probably everyone to some degree) has probably noticed how bunched up crap is with the pet management bar just thrown in with the function key skills not everyone has the same needs…having one possible UI configuration is like having one choice for toppings on a burger…sure some people are going to be cool with it…but a lot aren’t

Some would argue that the fact people still fiddle with GW1’s GUI means it was inadequate to begin with. In principle, whether it is a website, an application, a whole desktop environment or a game, as is the case here, the GUI must be “invisible” as an entity on its own, just there to provide specific functionality. Also, usually less is more, the more minimal the GUI is, the better it does what it should.

With that in mind, yes… I would very much like to change the GUI around. I went from a 1920×1200 to a 1680×1050 (and soon to 2x that) screen and the way the GUI was (even at small) just doesn’t work that well for the new setup.

Server: Kaineng | Guild: Blackflame Legion [BFL]
Perhaps the only RP-oriented guild on the server
Main Character: Farathnor (sylvari ranger) 1 of 22

I don’t disagree, I just don’t think you can lump a game’s UI in with the UI of most other things you listed. As an example I’ll pull from my days on World of Warcraft. I played several classes, and my Rogue require more buttons because I had more keybindings and a few macros set up for him. Whereas my Priest needed less button bars due to the restricted way in which I played that character. Even still, my Mage required something closer to the orginal UI with a few slight modifications.

It all really boils down to the playstyle and the class/profession we’re talking about. This is why having separate loudouts would be a great addition to the game and it’s user friendly functionality. Allowing me to have one set-up that I customize for my Thief and a completely different one that I make for my Warrior would be a most welcome feature.

i would for one change the health bar in an actual bar, i like to see the bar instead of an unclear ball that hides the difference between 15% and 5% health.

I would actually like the option to make it use percentage.
