GW2, more than other games, relies on you to keep an eye on the enemy at all times and react to their skills/movements whilst in combat. This is a great thing, but the UI often hinders our ability to do this rather than enhancing it. As such (and as just one example), why we don’t have an option available to toggle party member’s names on and off as well as enemies names, seems, at the least, confusing. This is just one of many problems with the entire UI. I’m sure others have similar frustrations; as compared to many other premium mmorpgs, GW2’s just doesn’t stack up right now.

It would be nice if there were either;
a) A far-reaching overhaul to the UI so we can customise our experience significantly more so it doesn’t negatively effect game-play, and/or
b) A utility/ability to create our own UIs, so at least we could work around the problems ourselves if development won’t.

Ahh you can show enemy names and player names in the options. The only option that I would like is a particle effect selector: All Effects, My Effects, My Party’s Effects, My Squad’s Effects, My Guild’s Effects, etc. Then if I turn it off just give me the red and white circles on the ground.

Woow, people really love to complain about nothing…
This game has been out for a couple months… Give it time..
Other mmo’s have had years to get where they are today..

I think they know it needs major work but letting them know of our want for this does no harm.

I agree and I am astounded that a game that wanted to be earth shattering in every way could be so 1990’s in it’s UI.
