I loved the system in GW1 that i had the choice to use something else in my build if i didn’t want/need the elite skill. This wouldn’t cause much trouble here either since utility skills are all balanced.
But… Elite skills… in some situations it would be great the have the option to swap elites to utilities, eg. if an elementalist simply doesn’t like its tornado skill so he doesn’t want to spend skill points on it, he can use something else in underwater, not just an empty skill slot.

Yes, it would be nice, most elite skills seem to be gimmicky and not very practical (well, neither are most ‘utility’ skills). Each weapon set should have at least 7 available skills to choose from as-well, it would add a lot more depth. For example, right now if you come across a staff guardian or rifle warrior, you know exactly what they can and cannot do, add more weapon skills and every encounter could potentially be different.
