Proposing:
-Buy a house (account bound) in any of the home instances regardless of your character race (limited to 1 house per account).
-Craft/decorate/customize your house
-Introduce exclusive furnitures/decorations/etc on Gemstore
-Be able to invite party members to your own home instance (Don’t know if you can do that already)
-Build a cooking station plus a max. of 2 other crafting stations in your house
-Wardrobe/chest for placing costumes and other misc items (balloons, kites, endless tonics, dance volumes, rose, trumpets etc)

Outcome:
Happy economy – This gives us the opportunity to dump some of the oversupplied low tier mats into crafting furniture/decoration/housestuff

Happy Anet – Exclusive aesthetic house items on gemstore. The wardrobe/chest would be an incentive to buy other gemstore items (rose, dance volumes, etc)

Happy players – More things to do. More space in regular bank.

Love this idea!
Player housing is fantastic. Furniture crafting and decorating keep people playing MMOs long past their shelf life. Just look at EQ2. There are still thriving communities there dedicated to decorating alone.

A year ago.

So what they talked about it, they talk about tons of stuff that they do nothing about. Anet loves to talk but where is the action?
Minimal status updates on much of anything for a year.

ok I guess thats not totally fair, they have done a fair amount over the year, but one cannot argue the fact that they could do much better about telling the community what they have in the pipeline.

Where would you fit a house in the norn home instance…

The instance could just be added in Lion’s Arch to teleport you to a race-specific “home” instance. Lion’s Arch could be swapped with a new capitol so that only high level players can create this home (low level characters can still teleport there once it is built). I would like to see it not just be a house but an entire town/city that gets invaded. You start off as just a house. Once the town becomes a large enough city you can have guards and command them to go into formation. Think of Total War at that point.
