Guild Wars 2

I guess I can say when it comes to Guild Wars with it’s armor and vanity items I’m a mix and matcher. I also know many others mix and match as well. But when it comes to skins everyone knows you have to buy the full set. It’s very inconvenient to me because I’m only using a part of the full set of the skin I just bought..which ultimately wastes some of my money.

..so basically I think it’d help a ton if we could buy separate parts of a skin.

To anyone reading this just let me know what you guys think and you know, if the majority of people care enough about this!

There has been at least one other thread that I know of that talked about this. I for one completely agree. I have bought a couple sets and on one of the them I only use the pants and shoes and another set I only used the top, so I have a bunch of skins in my bank that I basically have no use for. Why do I keep them in my bank you might ask well I paid for the full set and I’m not one to just toss away the rest since I did pay 800gems for them.

The prices of the pieces could even be 300 gems a piece. That way if someone just wants one piece they can just get that one piece, and those that want all of it will get a full set deal of 800 gems. Although considering the gloves and shoulders out now are 400 gems they probably will have it be 350-400gems a piece.

Completely agree I don’t see why you can’t shell out just parts of a gem set most likely it is just because you want to make more money and while certain parts of the set would sell you can charge more for the whole thing since you are giving more items than you could for single parts.

If we had a skin locker, buying the whole set would be more justifiable as you could use part of it on one character, part of it on another, and so forth. Or you could even just mix it up on one character as time went on.

Well technically you can use part of the set one multiple characters now. Just not 2 chest pieces. That’s part of the reason why I have 2 partial sets of armor still in my bank, for the off chance I decide in the future I want to reroll something.
