enable calling target while not in a party please.
it’s a good function. you can have a primary target called, tab thru and attack multiple other auxiliary targets, and then with one keystroke, with disregard to all other factors, select your primary target again.
you can play this way while in a party but not solo. i understand i could just form a party with someone i’m not playing with just to use the feature, but that’s circumventing the provided system and personally i see it as a complete over-sight by whomever had the final say on the targeting system.
tl:dr
“Call Target” under ‘Options>Control Options>Targeting’ should be functional with and without being in a party.
My understanding is that it is to coordinate an attack on a target by all party members which is why it’s not set up for solo players.
However I agree that this would be very useful for soloers. It’s most useful when you are fighting some sort of boss and have to switch to an add to protect yourself. When you are done, if you have target called on the boss it’s easy to reacquire it. If you are solo, it means you have to tab through all the targets to get back to the one you want. It’s a significant savings in time and efficiency to have the target already called.
yes, i was gonna make the same post. i like it for the big crosshair also. good for following people in zergs when you find the one you want to single out and kill. When you are in a Party, you are calling a target. When solo, it should be “Target marked”.
I mostly want this feature, because it is one of the few reliable ways to get around the broken targeting system. Because lets be honest, that is really why we all want this.

This doesn’t even really help the targeting bugs. I can have a target called, be attacking and suddenly get switched to an ally. I think it’s because my mouse pointer is resting on the screen and someone moves under it and targeting switches to them.
At least with the target called I can reacquire it fast, but it’s annoying. Especially when it happens several times in a row. The targeting switching is the reason I use the workaround of inviting absent guild members to party.
Yup. Usually a have a friend around willing to party up. Sometimes I just stay in a party with an offline person just so I can mark my own targets.
I play all the things 80. Pew Pew Pew. Killin joor commanders.
