Let us call target even if we are not in a party. In WvW thieves and mesmers can be a pain because they have skills that break target, I don’t see any downside to this.

Also it would be great if you could mark target for your turrets and necro pets.

Today we were in WvW and we had six people. Five in one party. I left that party so someone else could join, and just followed behind.

I’d have liked to have targetted the leader of the other party so I could follow them more easily but you can’t target someone if you’re not in a party. I don’t understand why.

I would like this in PvE too

My guess that the logic of only for parties, it is so you can coordinate attacking the same foe. However it would be nice to be able to target when solo. If you have something targeted and drop target for some reason, it allows you to easily get the target back.
