I was lucky enough to experience a bit of spectator mode before it was temporarily disabled, and I think it was great! The switching between cameras and players was quick and simple. Seeing the gear, traits, and abilities of the players as they were used was pretty neat, too. The stationary cameras felt like they were in a good place (in Spirit Watch, didn’t see other maps).
The main suggestion I want to make is regarding the stationary cameras. While they provide a nice PoV, it’s somewhat difficult to see the players between stationary camera locations. I’d hope that we could have the same scroll zoom option we have for our usual characters, but implemented for the stationary cameras.
TL;DR – Having a zoom function for stationary cameras in sPvP spectator mode would be helpful in seeing fights.
