Can Mob Ai be tweeked to stop Mob Droppers
Not just this, I have seen players kiting mobs to players that are fighting other mobs so they can mine a node/get a skill point/just carry on running.
This is frustrating and is a kittenmove.
Arena Net have done an awesome job of avoiding all the main complaints from MMO’s that “griefers” can Kill steal or Node camp etc, but I have noticed the following & I’m sure others have too.
You can be stood at a waypoint, in a spot away from Mob spawns. Then someone who decides that map running is easier than killing mobs, can & generally does, take a detour past the waypoint to dump all the mobs chasing him on the (possibly afk) players at the waypoint, or wherever they are.
Ok, this may only be a slight annoyance, & if your not afk you can usually deal with it, but what I have noticed is this is becoming standard practice to get out of trouble when you map run.
My opinion is, the mob should not just leave who they are chasing & attack you, they should Firstly stay on their target for the full chase distance, then return to their zone before taking aggro again.
Don’t allow other players to be but in a situation, because another player is either lazy, or can’t handle their own aggro.
