Can we get a town clothing NPC?
Agreed, stick it in out Home Instances too to give us a reason to go there.
Perfect, and the Home Instance idea makes it even better.
Yes please! Or if not an NPC a special chest in our personal instance that is a bank for town-clothes only.
Definitly want one.
And make us able to wear the costumes while in combat, while we got our true stats gear.
More and more town clothing is getting added to the game, so it would be nice to have an account wide NPC who collects all the hats and special town clothing pieces from the gem shop, similar to the NPC we had in GW1 for holiday headwear.
Yes! This would be terrific for swapping around among costumes / town clothes you own.
More town clothing would be nice.
I’d also like to see town clothes craftable. Clothes that can be made by professions that already make armors. Equip-able items akin the the Witch’s Broom for brawls made by professions that make weapons. And potions with different effects for artificers.
Town clothing NPC would be nice, would save us from storing all the clothes in the bank.
This is a very good idea, like the Costume and Festival Hat NPCs in the original GW. Make it so purchased outfits and event hats are unlocked, rather than obtained. I’d hate to accidentally delete my Mad King outfit that I paid 700 gems for…
A podcast I was listening to today had some great ideas to encourage people to wear town clothes such as bonuses to crafting, faster travel speed, etc. They also had simular ideas for using minipets. In both cases , make the bonuses only apply in town so that they are not abused in pvp.
I like these ideas, as it is now I see little reason to actually wear town clothes unless I know i will be running around in town for an extended period of time, which doesnt happen too often. The next step would be adding some content to encourage people of all levels to gather in specific areas so that they can show off their gear and joke around / chat. So far there doesnt seem to be any specific areas people just go to hang out – like around the bank in Orgrimmar in WoW or OA hill in AO.
Maybe add a casino in each races capital or a pub or dance club … way back before it was dead in AO people would go to Reets Retreat dance club and actually host parties and raves including a live music stream
“Sometimes … when Im alone – I buff myself”
I like the idea and I like the the idea Joker posted too.
Yeah, +1 for a town clothes NPC in the home instance. I want to keep some town clothes items, but not taking up space in my inventory or bank.
+1! I would really love this.
Plus, it would help encourage people to buy more town clothing. At least, it would for me. Right now, I’m only sticking with one outfit because it takes up five bank/inventory slots. Please add this!
I totally support this! A Costume NPC in my Home Instance would make me waaaay more likely to buy a costume from the Gem store. Ya know, in case I want a future character to wear it…
Yes please. Currently I wouldn’t even dream of buying any of the town clothes for the sole reason that there’s nothing but bank to store them in. It’s a wasted money if you end up replacing the pieces and don’t have the bank space.
Personally I’d like to have also armor storage for bank (hell I’d like to have alternate armor set that you can swap into like like town clothes).
Yes please. It was a very practical improvement in Guild Wars 1 that saved a lot of space. It also prevented that you had to go attend the event with all your toons to get the same hat.
I am glad people like it, hopefully anet listens. It would even be ok for me if it would cost a small fee of lets say 1s to reclaim gear from the NPC.
I just want new town clothes.. My Sylvari looks naked with his town clothes
agreed i really hope this doesnt become like Forsaken World where you have no clothing bank and force to keep everything in your bag or bank, because i am a bit of a clothing kitten :c
I only bought mad king outfit so far, and I wont buy more unless this is implemented, since storage space is limited and comes for a premium.
I’ve bought two outfits, the witch and the mad king..those two alone take up a bag. I don’t see how people will be able to keep enough space for these costumes when they come in 5 pieces. We need a vendor!
Agreed, a NPC or chest of some kind in our home instance is almost defiantly needed. I have only got the hats and the two costumes from the event and they take up a lot of space.

I agree and would like in the home instant. Also, give us more reason to where them. The costume brawl is a good idea if something similar can be done whenever wearing town cloths. As it has been, it is a bother to switch since you can’t fight in the cloths and then you have to remember to remove them before going out again.
I like the idea, but the execution needs worked. Give me more of a reason and I will spend money on them.
Yes please! Or if not an NPC a special chest in our personal instance that is a bank for town-clothes only.
You mean like a magical wardrobe? It shall be called Ainranrof!
+50 for this. Or at least some extra universal bank tab for town clothes only that can hold a lot of stuff
I think something along the lines of the “Festival Hat Maker” from Guild Wars should make a re-appearance. Purely for convenience purposes, otherwise in the future after another 2-3 holiday events we’ll be drowning in hats.
Came here just to suggest the same. I’m actually surprised this isn’t already in seeing as how they had just that in GW1 (the festival hat guy).
Great idea…
Or you could combine your “costumes” into a single item that can be equipped in the town clothes section of the hero panel. The costumes then override equipped town clothes, unless toggled by a tick box? That way all your costumes can be a single item rather than 5 pieces, and be able to mix with other items…
Agreed.
After they added the hat and costume NPCs to GW1 and then were giving away free hats in GW2 I assumed it was only a matter of time before they added an NPC.
Even if you only get each hat once they’re soon going to take up a lot of space and I think that will put people off getting them.

Put it in home instance = Brilliant idea
This is the halloween forum.
Please take you suggestions to the suggestions forums where they can be actually take into account better.
I would love a way to get at multiple town clothes items without having to use bank/bag space, you bet. Klutz also has an awesome variation on this, with the toggle list of all the items you have attached to just one kept/stored item.
Another possibility, albeit one that adds to the UI and thus affects aesthetics: Add a panel to the right side of the hero pane that shows up when you toggle the clothes, mirroring the dye panel, but each box is an unlocked town clothes item icon with its name visible on mouseover. Click the box to don the item. Some way of sorting the items would be needed as one’s collection grows, of course.
I don’t know how hot-bar changing toy items would fit into that. Perhaps they would still have to be stored individually?
Either and NPC or a Locker where the character stores all of his stuff.
It could also have others things, like the starting gear, the piece of equipment you choose for your biography, the starting town clothes, the Special Edition stuff like the Miniature Rytlock just in case you lose it, and even stuff you get in events, like the Mad King’s Memories (stuff with stats and usefulness other than visual and vanity would get a price, like karma or coins, of course).
