Gambling tons of gold for extremely low chances of something and not gaining any progress is a horrible and flawed design. It is anti-fun and it makes people quit the game. There needs to be some way to get things for SURE if you’re gambling for it, like giving certain items and if you gamble a LOT and get a LOT of them, you can transform them right into the item that you’re trying to gamble for.

The biggest things I see right now are precursors (the one people are quitting the game trying to get) and halloween items. For example, I’ve opened like 5000+ personalized trick-or-treat bags and haven’t gotten the item I’m looking for (I’ve gotten all these from just personalized trick-or-treat bags, no artificing involved.) And what do I have to show for it? Absolutely nothing, it was a complete loss. Whatever, I’ll get over it. However, if ArenaNet continues to put this type of gambling in the game, people are just going to get angrier and angrier and leave; it’s asinine.

I’m not saying give us everything for free, but gambling and having nothing to show for it or no progress is just really unfun.

Yes, but it doesn’t have to be such an insane gamble.

I dont know the odds cos I simply dont gamble. Not on anything. Id rather work harder for guaranteed results or go without, cos Im to easily frustrated by bad luck (which is what gambling is).

How would one manage to guarantee an endless halloween tonic? The ONLY way to get it is to gamble.

Hence why i personally wouldnt bother.
