I don’t know if it would matter. Glory’s not necessarily indicative of skill, at least not completely. It’s as a metric, basically, for time investment. Hypothetically, someone could have spent a month doing nothing but hotjoin, have a certain rank and not really have that tell you anything about their competency.
I don’t believe glory rank is supposed to be associated with player skill. It seems like just a reward system that provides tiered rewards depending on playtime (like level in pve). In other words the reason you can’t see people’s glory rank is because it shouldn’t matter, and there should be a more accurate player rating involved that would show you what a player’s skill level was. I believe they will add this later.
Agreed that rank is not indicative of players’ true skill, but it would still be nice to see it.

No thanks. Think about Halo: Reach’s ranking system. It is a system that rewards you with EXP regardless of whether you won or not, so a terrible person who plays a lot can be the highest rank.
There SHOULD be some kind of leaderboard feature however, where you are ranked based on a calculation of like, your kills, deaths, glory rank, and some other unknown variables.

I hope when they finally add this that it will take into account the time we’ve already played. Though, I can see people saying,“Well I wasn’t trying then! It didn’t count for anything!”
