It could be argued that 99% of the time, killing a champion or legendary results in green (if you are lucky) or blue drops. If the big bad is so big and bad that they get the champion or legendary tag, can the rewards be modified to reflect that?
As it is, what is the point in trying to down a champion if the rewards are just as good as a normal level bad guy?
Can I suggest that all legendary characters either drop green or gold items only. No blues, ever. Sure the odds will be swayed more to green than gold but at the very least you wont be getting blues.
From that can champions drop gold or yellows only? If you put in the effort to take down a champion, apparently the very best of that particular skill group, the rewards need to be, at a minimum, gold level, with the chance of an exotic.
Sure, people will begin to farm champions and it may alter the trading post a little, but it will even out and if you reduce the spawn rate of champions it won’t be a case of people permanently parked at the one spot to mass nuke a champ.
Dragons are on timers. Why can’t champions be as well?
Oh. Speaking of dragons. Minimum level rewards from chest should be gold. No blues or greens ever.
