I know there are a million “Stop the champ trains” threads littered around the forum, but I’m not making THIS one for the same reason.
The Living Story isn’t perfect, but I feel the biggest detriment to it is that people just don’t have a reason to keep doing it after the meta is done. Many just power through it in a day or two, then leave for good to go back to their little champ trains to continue business as usual. Champion loot needs to be nerfed, and Living Story loot needs to be what is lucrative.
My suggestion would be to remove boxes from all outside world champions, but keeping the 100% chance on an item drop that they currently have. Maybe giving a slightly better chance to pull rares and exotics so they aren’t completely worthless to fight. Move those automatic box drops to veteran and champion Living Story mobs, as well as in-dungeon champions.
What you’ll find is more people hanging around the Living Story areas, which surely will be a giant zerg like everything is lately, but it also means that casual players/new players can actually come and finish things as well. It seems a common complaint that three days after a LS starts people are having trouble completing things and finding teams. I think this will help some.
