Ok, some QQ’ing, but why do you reset the dailies at 8pm EST???? This is right in the middle of the evening for us east coasters and it resets before I can finish the previous days and don’t feel like staying up to start over again on the next days. I was 2 kills away from completing it tonight and bam, reset, and lost an hours work. No, I wasn’t going to try to do two dailies in one day.. though there’s nothing in the rules that says you can’t if they’re up.

Can you please set it to reset in the middle of the night for everyone on US servers, up to midnight for west coasters to be fair? That gives people enough time who only get to play an hour or two in the evening to not have to work around an arbitrary reset.

It is set to GMT. Which is the true messure of time. So is nuetral.

It may be that I just don’t understand the mechanics behind daily resets, but I don’t see why they can’t reset based on your own time zone. That would make more sense to me. (I’m also on the east coast 3/12 months of the year, so I understand your pain)

Because if they did that it would have to be based on computer time or a setting you choose. Meaning players could abuse it to get more hours.

They use UTC, and once you understand what UTC is, it makes a lot more sense. Since there are quite a few different time zones (and then factor in DST as well, which some areas use others don’t), and having a Universal Time to reset on makes sense.

I still don’t understand why people complain about the time of the reset, it’s 24 hours no matter how you look at it. If you can’t complete your daily BEFORE the reset, start it AFTER the reset the night before, then if you’re not finished, it shouldn’t take long to finish the next night.

That being said, the dailies shouldn’t take more than 30 to 45 minutes (and if you really push it, you can complete in about 15 on some days). If you can’t devote 30-45 minutes to completing the daily, no change of time for the reset will help.
