Changes to Armor/Toughness that will benefit

- Toughness is not supposed to reduce condition damage.
- There shouldn’t be a stat which reduces incoming critical damage.
- Reducing incoming critical chance would require an additional basestat; it doesn’t fit to any of the currently present ones.
- do not nerf boons, they are balanced. Don’t ask for armor being stronger and more punishing for low armor classes at once.
i agree that toughness and vitality should be more meaningful, i don’t agree that light and medium armor wearer cannot tank because of old mmo doing so.
every profession should fulfill every role someway or another, i like this idea in this game and i don’t want to go out in the world with a heavy armor body guard all the time

I do agree that Toughness could be buffed up a bit. Right now it feels very sub-standard to the other stats. Toughness just doesn’t seem to mitigate enough damage to be worth getting. Protection is just so much better than Toughness, and even Vitality feels like it means more than armor/Toughness.
I would like to see Toughness do a bit more for us.

Now warrior can have bit more sustain.
Guardian bunker still got the same sustain. (nerf to boons but buff to toughness)
Light and medium classes get a bit of a nerf to sustain. or they have to spec more in toughness.
Now its stupid a Ele or other light/medium classes have more defence than a warrior.
Due to Protection.
Protection gives 33% reduction, WAY TOO MUCH!! compaired to a class than dont have it on a heavy armor (warrior).
Nerf that Protection boon!!

Im glad you understanded it very well.
This changes are because right now boons are not balanced every game aspect is balanced towards boons, if you have protection then you are very hard to kill and i find very very unfair that classes like the warrior that dont have acces to protection in any way have to just sit there and take it, the warrior is a class that wears heavy armor and right now its like if any mmorpg you grabbed a mage glass cannon and was forced to go melee, because of this warrior has no sustain, because armor does not matter to anything and its bad to all the game, heavy armor should matter.
And all this drastic condition damages right now, and all this burst damages from stealth for example will be eliminated with changes like this, and people will start to stop adding just ofensive stats because their damage its going to get mitigated and they will worry more about balancing their characters rather than only put full power or condi damage.
Its not good that the game is centered in who have more boons and who can maintain them most of the time.

I’d love to see protection nerfed and armor become more useful. Enough with this -33% damage reduction cheese.
