It would be very nice if Arena Net would implement some sort of character account transfer. This function would be good for people who wish to have their friend or family member join the game and not be left at the beginning, this could potentially increase the number of players that the game has which is always nice (you can never have too many!).

Opens up too many problems, though, like people buying characters for real money or two people sharing one account indefinitely instead of the second prioritizing getting their own (since they can just transfer their character later)..

Going off the assumption that you mean for characters to go from account a to account b.

That would be a major issue for banned accounts since all those who committed offenses would have to do is transfer the characters they want from banned account A to unbanned account B. Granted there is a solution to that but its still a loophole that can be abused. You also run into a security risk for people hacking accounts to obtain characters that have legends and other valuable goods. Then of course you run into a cash farm in real life by selling level 80 characters to newbies.

Your idea has good intentions but I don’t think it would be in best interest with the current community.
