Recently I did a “school boy error” of leaving my PC and guildwars at the character screen and a younger evil sibling almost deleted one of my characters!

Which made me think how simple it is to lose a character and all the time and effort placed into it! why not introduce a optional PIN or a Lock so a character can not get deleted without authorization through the site? Just a suggestion but im sure many will support it!

Would also make it a little bit harder for hackers etc!

Having a secondary password or PIN is an idea. BUT… for now, you could just log out completely if you’re going to be away from your computer.

You might be on to something here. How about adding a pin feature to both banks (personal and guild). This would be another safeguard against hackers. The “Pin:” would be account based and every time you access either bank a quick dialogue box opens and you type in your pin. This would apply to any method of bank access (crafting station, bank access express, etc…..).

What good would it do to hack an account if you couldn’t access the accounts bank? It would also protect the guild bank.

Deleting a character through 3rd party (hackers, siblings, etc.) could be prevented with a pin.

It can also be prevented by logging out and using really unique passwords.
