Please add in the feature to allow us to rename our characters. Really it should be a feature in the total makeover kit, since you can go as far as changing your characters gender.

I am one of those gamers who really enjoy creating new characters and have tried every race, gender and profession. Because of this I have deleted a lot of characters and added new ones. It is very frustrating that I can’t use the names of the deleted and have to find a new name every time. If a name is not currently in use it should be made available to the community. Now I that I have finally created the characters I wish to stick with (one of every prof) a couple of them have unfortunate names or at least ones I would love to be able to change. Please allow us to change names for a small fee or something. It really should be included in the makeover kit as previously stated.

This is something glaringly missing from the total makeover kit. There you can change the gender of your character but have you noticed that male and female names usually suggest the gender. Can we get word on when this feature will be added?

now that this feature has been implemented, I fear we won’t ever get this feature as a part of the total makeover kit. Can we have an official answer to this? It’s quite pointless to be able to change gender with the kit and being stuck with a non-fitting name….

However it is available to you if you really must change your name.

people asked for the namechange, Anet implemented it.. perhaps we should be appreciative that they did and leave it at that.

or perhaps not…I never asked for the name change feature. Rather implement a one-time name change in case you use the kit to change the gender. Yeah, one can dream…..
