Hi, im probably going to bring back an issue discused in the past, but as I was unable to find anything with the search engine of the forums, il bring it anyway, and apologize in advance.
The charr has a totally diferent phisiognomy than the other races in the game. Even the asura, with his disctintive features, like ears and “hoofs”? are mostly humanoid.
Im saying this because I understand the added difficulty on modelling armors for them, the charrs.
But, having said that, there is something that, in my opinion, shouldnt be overlooked in this armor modelling process. The horns.
It is kind of frustrating that every other helmet we have in the game clips over our horns or even cover completely our beloved horns. The clipping issue is something I understand is harder to solve, so I wont be touching it. It is the “completely covered” issue that brings me here.
Sometimes, a explanation for this may exist, and we offer our best Okay face. But there are other times, when the horns are imposibble hidden. Magic is my only theory. Im speaking about helmets like Sorrow’s embrace, Crucible of Eternity, or Citadel of Flame.
Here, to clarify some of the issues with my medium armor charr (heavy and light have their own, but I cant preview on them to show you) we can see some armors correctly showing my horns; others like CoF, which cover my horns with what seems like cloth or leather, SE, which cover my horns with a metallic sheet; and the CoE hood, wich can be rationalized thinking the horns are somewhat well hidden in there (depending on the horns).
As a bonus we can see Peacemaker Skrimm griefing me by showing me how the asura can get his soft and malleable ears trought the same hood he wants to sell me.
