Guild Wars 2

Haio. Was directed here from the GW2 support but I’ll keep it short and simple with some things I’d like to see in-game.

1 – Add a chat history for the chats in-game, makes it a lot easier for us with a poor memory to remember what we said a few days ago. It’s also a very nice option for anyone in a guild, allowing people to actually pass logs instead of spamming screenshots all the time. It doesn’t have to be something massive, but allowing a copy/paste from in-game chat to outside of the game would be splendid, alongside an option to toggle which channels it should log. (For other games I had an addon for that, I really miss that bugger.)

2 – In the Guild Roster on the first page, allow people to set nicknames like one can do in the friends list. Makes the roster a lot easier to use if you can permanently write down someone’s name in the list, without having to befriend every single guild member first.

3 – Another small addition, allow people to see what alternative classes the user has. For example, if Bob would have a mesmer, warrior and guardian regardless of the level, it would be great if we could see that with a small icon for dungeons and such when we really need a warrior or guardian. (Despite him being on his mesmer. It doesn’t have to show names, just the class icon.)

4 – When people leave the guild, it shows their ID in the roster. This ID is rather confusing, as people don’t name their characters after their ID all the time. I’d like to request the addition that it also shows the character name on which they quit on, so it’s easier to figure out who actually left.

5 – Remember shift clicking for items and spells? I’d love it if I could shift-click items out of the Trading Company directly into the chat without having to actually buy the item first. This would allow people to show of dyes, items they should obtain and so forth.

6 – In the dye panel, allow for the same shift-clicking to be used so we can show off the colors we have and easier link them to other people.

That’s all I had, mainly small additions and changes to make the game feel more smooth instead of actual gameplay changes. Feel free to comment, and I hope any Dev or Team member takes these into consideration.

the trading post has an option on it now ( as of a month ago it was added) that allows theuser to right click on an item and Preview it. This also works with dyes.
