Guild Wars 2

Please allow us to have multiple guild chat channels? Multi-guilding is a great feature, but allowing us to chat in different guild chat channels (as long as we’re on the roster) would help, IMO, keep solidarity between members even when we aren’t repping.

For example, I am in a few roleplay guilds, as well as a WvW one, and so on, because none of them really overlap. But this means that my ability to still hang out in chat with my roleplay friends whilst, say, running between sieges, is not an option.

As a guild leader, I feel the worst thing about GW2 is the choice to tie guild chat privileges to the representation/influence system. I have no gripe with multi-guilding, or the influence system itself. My issue is that restricting chat to only the represented guild, you create a system in which 3 out of 4 guilds a person may be in are “dark” most of the time with no chat and nothing happening. Lots of people end up lonely and disenfranchised, and many guilds with great ideas and great memberships die from the lack of chat.

We desperately need the ability to participate in the chat for all guilds we belong to at the same time. (We also need private and custom chat channels, but that is another matter.)

I am in three small guilds, there doesn’t happen anything… all three chats together would be perfect, they say maybe not too much, but i still miss a lot of chatting between the members…

I would love for people to be able to see/chat in my guild chat when they are repping other guilds! <3

Please! We have been asking for this since day 1! How kitten hard can it be to implement? I believe the correct answer is “Not at all”!

The lack of this feature is actually preventing me from joining a big guild, since I’m in a guild with a group of freinds. I’d have to choose between either participating in whatever guild I join and missing conversations with my freinds, or being another dead non-repping member of the other guild so I can not miss any conversations with my freinds.
So for now I’m saving people the wasted space of a member that doesn’t contribute by sticking to one guild, much as I think the multi-guild feature could be really useful if it just had this one thing.

Yeah, having to drop my rep just to chat one of my other guilds is not something I’d like to do. And I joined multiple WvW guilds so I would be informed when they’re planning something, so I could join up and have fun. But… the chat.

You basically have 5 guild slots. In chat menu, add channels for guild 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
