Class Changing
Well the point of leveling different classes is about slowly getting used to the different gameplay. I imagine if I was suddenly level 80 as a thief with skills and all, I’d have more trouble learning how to play the hero than I would starting from level 1 and working for that progression. The leveling system isn’t just about reaching a goal unattainable for most, it’s about learning to play the game as well.
NPC: ‘You can’t sneak everything past me, look for answers elsewhere…’
NPC: ‘…or do you wish to learn how to be a [insert profession here]?’
You click ‘yes’
NPC: ‘Roll an alt.’
If you’re as bad at leveling as you say, even @ 80?, then jumping straight into a different play style (via profession change) isn’t really going to do anything for you.
You’d be better off re-rolling an alt and learning the prof from the get-go.
what they said, as you level up you get an idea of what your build is, and what works and what doesnt. So when you are level 80 you know how to play your class. just having a different class at level 80 immediately won’t really do much for you.
The difference by other games and guild wars is that leveling up in both Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 teaches you skill after skill, trait after trait. You learn to play the profession you have. There’s no other use to levels in gw2. They only tell how experienced you are and what skills you have with your created character.

Not that I agree with OP, but Spvp says HI
