It’d be neat to have class specific emotes. I just really want a mesmer clone that does nothing but juggle. Heck, I’d spend real money on it.

What could the other classes do?

The necro should summon an undead cat or dog, then cuddle it.

Ele should have some sort of dance or interaction with an Elemental based on their current attunement.

Guards should roast marshmallows over their holy fire.

Thieves should balance a dagger on one hand’s index finger while twirling a ring of keys on the other

Engineer could have a little remote controlled toy to drive around (and explode of course).

Both class and race specific emotes would be a great addition.

I second the race specific emotes. It seems like a major oversight to have everybody do the same exact emote minus the dance.

They don’t do the same. Charr /surprised is awesome, and Asuran /laugh is the best.

They have the same names, but the animations are all very different.

I think the idea of a race based emote would be really good and while I know each race tends to preform emotes their own way, I’m actually referring to an emote that literally belongs to that race alone. For example Charr could have /purr in which they have a unique sound based emote along with a slight motion of some kind. Sylvari could have /sway where they basically stand absolutely still then begin to move in a slight rocking motion like a tree moving with the wind.

I’d really love to see more emotes and more class and race specific ones. Anything to increase the flavor and lore of the game is a plus in my book.

The profession-specific suggestions at the top are really fun and clever. I would pay gems for these.
(However, I’m not expecting this any time soon: new animations seem to be very costly in terms of art, animation, and testing, although perhaps not so much in coding time.)

I like the idea of more emotes, and if enough of them are implemented then sure, make some of them specific to profession.

But I want juggling for my Thief, not my Mesmer! It’s a long established part of his RP that he is a master juggler -grins-. That’s why I did a suggestion thread about juggling items as town clothes toys.

I suppose it would take a fair amount of effort to make new animations and such. I’m sure there are a ton of talented users out there willing to take the time to do it.
