Classes make no sense...Here is why
So users can cheat at Vistas? So they can get around a much needed gold sink? So they can give the bird to the enviroment’s programmers? Screw Mounts. If it’s such a big deal to you, go crawling back to blizzard and their pandas.

I also disagree with them, but I disagree with your tone even more. Responses like this create a toxic atmosphere and should be stricken from the community.
Flying mounts are the main problem in any game, and for GW2, they would be a problem for Vistas and bypassing terrain and what not. However, ground mounts are generally fine since you can’t cheat with them, all you get is a speed boost. Jumping is already restricted when changing forms and what not so it’s not like it would be a problem if you had like a Moa bird as a mount, and as for indoor, WoW restricts use of mounts in areas, why not just do that. And I agree with DFAnton about toxic atmosphere, its really not good.
I’ve tried all classes. Warrior and engineer seem very weak. Well, I guess we will see what people think and I will add more input providing I’m not dissed for my opinions.
Warrior is a good class and certainly isn’t weak. Remember that you have lots of different build options & weapon choices and u may have chosen bad ones. I haven’t played engineer yet, but others are having a blast (!?) with them.
Why can a warrior use rifle but not ranger. You would think a ranger would use hand g uns and ranged guns not just bows. The thief uses hand guns which makes no sense because it’s meant to be stealth. Also makes no sense that a ranger can use a torch as a weapon but not a warrior. Also tigers and lions should be pets in games and more assortment of dogs.
I still think mounts and other means of travel should be in game. I don’t feel moved by teleporting like in star trek. Portals are fine but way points suck. Also I think some normal quests should be added to game. Realistically people would ask you to do stuff not just by chance run into situations.
I get the whole wanting to be different than other mmo’s but to have no horses or carriage system and people giving you quests feels dead to me. Lacking immersion.

disagreed with every point and whole argument seems pointless. sorry op
Many events are started by talking to an NPC. So, you do get quests from people; they are just quests everyone can do together.

Aesthetics aside, the looks don’t matter for Guild Wars 2. The game works better than most MMOs, and has its major gameplay systems WORKING for the most part instead of the development team promising to fix them later. Mounts in many MMOs (if not all) are pointless. Their primary function is a run speed buff. The mounts don’t affect combat well, and usually serve more as a kitten indicator than something useful.
And the classes are definitely NOT weak. I’ve one of every class past 20+ PVE, tried them all out in many PvP games and I haven’t found one to be lacking. Yes, some of the have weapon and skills that I think are sometimes overpowered or weak, but that is usually to be expected since ArenaNet is still tweaking many of the classes.
Unlike most MMOs in GW2 the weapon actually matters and the characters don’t have the same animation and effect when they pick up a completely different weapon which I think should be adopted by more MMOs.
An axe is not swung like a sword or a mace. Many MMOs were missing potential gameplay by just giving weapons in the game stat/effect differences instead of actually animation and attack area differences. GW2 is more in line with action titles like Vindictus and TERA in how it handles what weapon you’re wielding.
In the future it would make sense for them to expand more weapon options to other classes for updates or expansions. There is no need to act like the list of weapons we see here is set in stone for the various classes.
WHAT IF WvW commanders (thing that costs 100g) were able to ride horses that gave a passive speed boost to everyone around. Would be soooooooooooo cool.

I am sorry, after reading this, the whole of your post seems pointless for me. And I disagree in some point, I think Warrior and engineer are really strong classes of the game for me.
anyway if OP really want to discuss about Mount in GW2, you can easily post in Mount subjects that appear in everywhere in this forums.
I cannot say I agree with any of this. Rangers never use black powder weapons, highwaymen (Thieves) often used handguns, and Warriors use military weapons rather than improvised weapons (hence no Torch). The Ranger has many big cats for pets, and as far as I know there are no Lions in the game; they have plenty of dog options too.
Mounts would be a terrible idea. End of story. I hope they are never swayed into including them.
Warrior seems weak? Seriously? It is probably the most balanced class in the game!
There are no horses because the Charr farmed them for glue to build the black citadel.
Hunters/Rangers use guns and it makes perfect sense. Makes more sense that a ranger uses a rifle than a warrior. Makes more sense that hand guns would be used by a rangers than a stealth rogue. I NEVER said flying mounts. But horse mounts make sense. It makes sense that races would use something besides portals and futuristic teleportation pads. I love how you guys claim to not agree but give no explanation.
Rangers are nature based not snipers or commandos.
Like someone else has already said, highwaymen use guns, isn’t a bank robber a thief to….
They purposely had certain classes that could only use bows (rangers), only use guns (engineers), and both (warrior and theif). I mean realistically any of them could use any weapon.
pretty sure OP is troll.
