I am sure everyone sees this every day. You go to sell your loot at the trading post only to find that half the items you are carrying cannot be sold directly. They cannot be sold because the people making offers are offering less than the system lets you sell for.

1) Why is it even possible for a person to offer less than you can sell for? If there is a check on the sell end, there should be an identical check on the offer end.

2) These buggy offers should be cleaned out of the trading post, since they can never be fulfilled.

That and there are still “Buy Orders” of 1 copper for things worth several silver.

Yeah, if possible, they should definitely make it so you can’t place a buy order for less than the vendor price if we can’t sell them for less than that. It’d clean out a lot of items pretty quick, I would think?

You can’t place a buy order for less than merchant price NOW, in the beginning the market was unrestricted and you could, then later they added a check to it.

They do plan on cleaning the market, just not right now, it’s very very low on the priority list but it would be really nice to not have that inconvenience.

And it’s still stupid to sell something worth 2 S 16 C on the TP at 2 S 17 C when it takes 15% of it so you end up with 1 S 87 C (which is way less than the merchant price).

They should take the fee % into account.

There should be a limit on how long thing can be listed too. There’s no reason things should be up for a year or more. A month, maybe two. Prices fluctuate so much anyway it would help sellers by allowing them to relist at the current market value.
