Point Blank, there are far too many players that have no idea how to use combo fields/finishers and you should add in a tutorial when a player first creates a character where the player is then forced to use a combo field several times in differing ways to learn how they work. Combo fields/finishers are so incredibly crucial to any fight I don’t understand how so many players just don’t know how to utilize them.

I agree. It wasn’t until my guild explained it to me that I even really realized what they were. I had read a bit about combo’s prior to release, but only knew about burning arrows.

PS: my guild explained it to me quite awhile after I had got my 2nd character to 80.

At the very least, there should be an NPC who takes you to an instance where all the 8 professions as NPCs are there, and they can show you the different combo fields each can do. They can demonstrate how to interact with one and demonstrate leaping or shooting into a field. If they make it repeatable and allow people to choose the professions they want to see, then people can learn at their own pace.

It’s not just new people who don’t know this stuff. Even after hours of play, I’ve told guild members, if you shoot into this field I put down, this will happen and they didn’t know. And really, if they don’t play that profession themself or regularly along with that profession, it’s not intuitive. They don’t know the other professions skills if they just do PvE. No one ever sat them down and explained it to them. They just log on and play.
