With the recent Teq update, there have been commanders tagging up for the sake of tagging up but not actually doing anything, and some have the goal of annoying other commanders who are doing something.

This shows a fault with how to obtain the tag, so here is my suggestion.

Guilds can assign a different coloured commander tag to anyone suitable in their guild, and only for their guild to see it after buying the ‘commander training’ upgrade for the guild.

People can obtain a commander tag for WvW only, if their WvW rank is above 100.

People can buy a PvE rank for PvE with 1 of every gift, to see if they actually PvE.

As it is now, it is only creating self important ego’s even bigger, making them think that its okay to tag up in dungeons and start swearing at people who aren’t that experienced in the dungeon, resulting in kicking them (I’ve been in a party when this happened).

Would they have done the same if they didn’t have their tag to make them feel so important that they can act like a dictator?

After remembering this, I wouldn’t be against a simple rating system for commanders, not one to create competition between commanders on other servers (because populated servers vs none populated would create more flaming), but a red, orange, green system, more up votes makes it green, down votes makes it red, and have it reset every month and put everyone on orange, if it didn’t ever reset, how would one redeem themselves if nobody feels like following a red zoned commander.

These are just some suggestions, if anyone wants to come up with their own in which they think will stop the ego troll commander, go ahead.

Commander tag shall be harder to gain!
100g is a pure joke, someone can gain it just for lulz!
Voting system sounds good!
To become a Commander, you have to prove that you are worthy, and gain support of other players!
I support everything that’d make becoming the Commander a lot harder!
