When Anet announced Commander tags, they said they were going to be expensive enough to make being a commander a guild effort or group effort.

It’s really obvious now with all the invasions going on that this is not the case anymore, anyone can have a commander tag on for absolutely no reason other than clutter the screen and zerg stuff.

100g may have been a lot on release, but right now is a laughable amount to which most people pay just to have that little spotlight over their head, instead of organizing stuff.

So this is my petition to ArenaNet to refund every commander his 100g and remove the commander tag from him, and increase the price to around 1,000 gold, I’m sure any guild will be able to get to that price point easily and give the commander tag to someone who will use it correctly, but individuals would have a harder time and will have to choose between a potential legendary and the commander tag, and if you want bragging rights, I would take a legendary over the tag any day.

I would even put the price higher, but WvW guild may have problems with a higher price considering how little gold WvW gives.
