I spent 100 gold on a tag that I don’t even use. It never fails every time I turn it on people will critisis me for simply having a commander tag. People will even whisper me with name calling and harsh insults to my intelligence. How can you base intelligence on how someone plays a video game? I’m sick of it, and I would imagine I’m not the only one that wants a refund for this expensive book.

I’m starting to just hate the mmo community in general. A huge percentage of people just seem like they sit around all day picking verbal fights so they can say to themselves they accomplished something that day. Even though all they accomplished was to create an emotion for themselves.

Don’t use the commander tag to feed your ego. It’s a bad idea.

That is exactly what I’m talking about people assume the worst then just immediately try to call you on what they imagined. Without even realizing they assumed anything in the first place. Don’t use the forums to feed your ego, it’s a waste of a life.

I spent 600 dollars on boat I do not use. I get harsh complaints about it all the time. How can you judge my intelligence on what I purchase? I’m sick of society and I’m not the only person who expects the seller to take their boat back and give me back my money.

How to judge intelligence based upon gameplay:
Chatting with them
Looking at what they type
Seeing what stupid decisions they make and then talk about.

You made a stupid purchase (because it is unused) and now want your money back. It’s in-game money why are you crying?

Im betting youre not using it there,but simply stand around in LA with your tag on ,or on random pve maps?

Not always, I brought mine because I run Guild Events, and it makes it much easier to get people to the Events, a lot of my Guild are WvWers so they don’t always have all the map locations, so getting there and wacking on your Commander tag or running them from the entrance is useful. It also helps people group up for Rushes, stay together on Puzzles. I know for some of the Challenges we use multiple Commander squads as you have to take down multiple targets at the same time.

But I do agree, you should have a reason to have it on, and to be honest even I forgot to turn it of when I went to the bank is a fairly valid reason. I know I’ve looked at my buffs when I get into battle and go.. heck did I have that on all the time. I must have looked a complete Kitten.

If you are getting random insults when you wear the title while standing around in LA, that’s probably jealousy and rudeness.

If you are getting insults from people while wearing the title in WvW, then that’s another thing entirely.

So, where are you when people are sending you insults?

If you get insults whispered, report the people, and they will get a nice ban in return.

The big problem with that commander icon is that it’s not earned nor deserved. You don’t suddenly become a good commander because you spend 100 gold on a book. There are people who are better at leading than most commanders and who don’t have the commander icon. I personally have no respect for people with the icon just because they have it, I only respect those who show their leadership talent on the field, no matter if they are commanders or not. Actions speak louder than money. I would never ever insult someone for having the icon though, if the person is bad, I will just add him/her to my ignore list.

I do agree and disagree at the same time.
For first: Why did you bought the Commander tag (witch shouldn’t cost money until it don’t has mutch more abilities…).

Then for second: I’m commanding both WWW and PVE.
Many people don’t have a kitten clue why am I using my Commander sign on PvE.
It is because I’m used to lead world raids, vanquishing evil forces out of maps, and for second, if a commander like me trying to do a group event, it has mutch more chance to get help from people. They think “oh there is a commander, there might be a free rare drop yay!”.

But after all, DON’T buy commander tag if you’re not capeable to lead a horde.
Just join the squad and be happy. G’night.
