Commander's Icon Color Should Be Changeable
Color should be determined by some WvW achivements or number of unique signatures of players (account based) that support the commander. It also could indicate the time commander spend in WvW with squat active.
If I wanted anything color related it would be them coloring themselves to indicate the tasks they are performing as a category.
If all you are doing is zerging for karma, don’t let me believe that you care about defense.
If all you are doing is defense, don’t let me wonder why we are only going back and forth from supply camps or killing dolyaks and never taking towers.
Yes, categories would better suit colors.
Let the color represent your goal then I can jump into whatever category suits me and expectations aren’t out of bounds. Ex. I would never expect a zerg group to come protect a camp unless they were very close.
Something like that could be an indicator I watch to verify competent leaders. If all one commander does is zerg, maybe I don’t want to run with them repeatedly when another commander is more rounded and does zerg and defense each for 2 hours.
Just needs to be dye-able. That way you can look at a map and go “Oh there’s Commander Fred’s orange icon. I need to follow him instead of Commander Bob’s yellow icon.”
As a commander, I 100% support this. Would make it so much easier to coordinate the map.
