+1 if they are spamming the same message, sure, as it could be a troll. But a commander simply typing orders constantly should not be suppressed. The current system is way over doing it.

EDIT: It could be restricted to only wvw. No gold seller is going to spend 100g for a tag, only to be banned moments later after getting reported for their map message. Some trolls may buy one yes, but there is a block feature.

I’d spend 100g to not get suppressed in map chat.

Trolls would buy commanders just to spam the crap out of you.

Same for gold sellers.

Not a good plan.

Commanders and leaders of the sort should have specific channels for that sort of thing.

Kind of like how in EVE Fleet leaders have a channel where they can chat with everyone in that fleet regardless of what wing or squad people are in.

They do have a specific channel, its called squad chat. But the whole commander UI needs to be worked as NOBODY is utilizing squads. For there isn’t even a Squad UI.

They have squad chat, but most people don’t join it.

Are you talken about team speak or the acual eve voice.
But yes there should me a cammader chat so they can do this

This. While in WvW and with your commander tag up, you shouldn’t be suppressed. Ever.
I don’t think a lot of trolls will pay 100g to go to WvW and spam /map or /team just to screw up with their own servers.
Well… There could be spies from other servers that would do that, though I have never seen a commander spy lol
