Guild Wars 2

Before i get to it, let me point out a couple things about GW2.

1. Its not a stat game, its really, all about visuals
2. There is no inspect feature, so you have no way of knowing what each person has, hence, it goes back to visuals.

With that, anything you wear in this game, has its look. Some are crap, some are average, some are great, and some…just awesome.

Then their are legendaries. Now, overall, i must say that most legendaries, honestly, are very lackluster in visuals. But my topic is about the Eternity Greatsword.

This is combing the Sunrise Greatsword with the Twilight Greatsword, and you get the Eternity Greatsword.

Before you research this, before you knew about this, most of you, naturally would think….if you combine TWO legendary weapons…OMG…that one combined surely must be special!

Well…it isnt…..in fact its abysmal.

The Sunrise and Twilight are unique. They stand out. They…just by passing by…immediately are recognizable, and immediately, someone will notice them. They will either compliment on something they havent seen, or they will just know, its a legendary, and which of the two…because they are UNIQUE.

The Eternity, all it does, is turn into the Sunrise version by day, and Twilight version by night. Maybe to some that sounds cool…but really? So someone would grind 2x the amount of work to get both legendaries….in order to make one legendary that does, what you can do on your own, WHENVER you please. (which is basically just swapping out the 2 weapons whenever you want.)

On top of that, they remove the footprint effects that both the Sunrise and Twilight do on their own.

Legendaries are made to be unique, and to be recognizable. The Eternity Greatsword fails hard on both aspects.
1. Its not unique, because it does not stand out from the Sunrise or Twilight. Its the exact same sword, but it automically switches which one shows by the time of day it is.
2. Its not recognizable, hence, to anyone else, no one would ever notice that you even have an Eternity because it doesnt have ANYTHING that stands out.

The Eternity needs an overhaul. It needs either a complete facelift, or it needs enough added visuals, that just like most other legendaries, stands out, and is easily spotted as The Eternity Greatsword, and not just a Sunrise or Twilight that can only be corrected by you having to link your Eternity on chat to show you do have it.

Sorry i wrote so much, but, when someone is willing to put much that much effort into one item in a game….in a visual game, they should be rewarded more heavily instead of this lazy slap in the face sword they now call Eternity.
