Howdy! Now, I don’t know if this is true for many servers, but for all the ones I’ve been on, it has never failed to be true.

A good majority of the servers are just totally bereft of people.

I’ve played on Isle of Janthir, Kaineng, and Ehmry Bay. On all of these servers, I’ve noticed that the server is just totally empty outside of LA. I can’t find people to do events with, I can’t find people to play with, period. In WvW, the server has close to 0 presence, there’s just no one there.

My suggestion, is to condense the servers, or at least in WvW. Relocate people from low pop servers to one server, and then remove the old ones. This saves A-Net a lot of money from running the empty servers, and it gives people others to play with. For WvW, you could track the number of people actually participating, and combine the low population servers together. Something like dividing the servers into areas. Krytan area, Maguuma area, Ascalon area, Canthan area, Elonan area, so on. So that you can have several servers all under the same banner, making it more worthwhile to go into WvW, since you’d actually have people to play with.

I don’t know if this would even work, maybe you could add some other incentive to participate in WvW / outside of LA, but there’s my two cents.

Well, I play in IoJ and don’t know what you are talking about, have never been ikittenone by myself. I’m in a guild that has 300+ active players on the server.

Plus I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure the community for the game is still growing. If they condensed at this stage they would then have to expand again to accomodate. Server condensing is something not even worth considering until at least the 3rd year unless the game in question sucks and noone is playing it.

Well, no one wants to be on an empty server.

Meh some people like low volume servers. It can be a lot more personal with a low volume server.

If Anet started to condense servers, people would freak out. Basically, the underline theme would be: The game is dying and Anet is trying to save it. Hope that helps.
EDIT: I have played on a low pop server in WvWvW and it was not fun. They will not change this system as this was one of their major marketing ideas, to change it would prove they failed. IMHO I believe if they did AB style game play ( faction vs faction vs faction) instead with multiple worlds, it would run better. With that said, you would most likely never see the same commanders again,let alone same people/ server camraderie player x was on the third server of EB yesterday while today he’s on the ninth.

Thats partly because you guys have been getting beaten pretty bad by Darkhaven lately..
