You would think that after all the flaming that the devs have gotten for not having Power, Precision and Condition gear or better yet, Precision, Condition, and Condition Duration gear available in Ascended gear that they would pull their heads out and implement it this patch. Seriously I DO NOT want toughness on my gear. I’m sorry, I’m not some newbie that needs toughness to survive.

So pull your heads out and give us some gear that is at least comparable to that of Berserkers gear. Honestly condition builds are already subpar to raw crit damage and you screwed them again.

For any of you out there that have run full condition damage I encourage you to try going full Bersekers, you’ll honestly want to cry when you see how large the damage gap is already. Also use Ruby Orbs in to be cheap instead of the Divinity runes you’ll still be better than your condition build.

That’s the problem, its basically turned condition based damage builds from subpar to trash. They keep going the wrong way on condition builds.

In all seriousness the only way condition damage is going to be equal to crit builds is if they go Cond/Prec/Cond duration gear.

They put it on exotic, i don’t know why they didn’t put it on ascended

There are a lot of stats on the exotic gear that are not on the ascended gear, and even some stats on ascended gear that is not on exotic gear. For instance, there is no ascended gear with stats similar to Carrion (Con. dmg/Pow./Vit) or Cleric related stats, and there is ascended stats like Con. dmg/Vit./Toughness that is not found anywhere else in game. I think the ascended gear is broken, because it does not continue from all exotic stat combinations. I have no need for ascended gear, because the stats offered through ascended gear do not support any of my builds.

It will likely be released for a holiday event, like all the other missing combinations. It’ll be from recipes people will really want and materials people will hoard and sell on the market. It will have the rarity and cost matching it’s value.

And that is the dumbest idea anet has come up with.
Why the HELL would you make certain stat combo time-limited is beyond any logic.

I play necromancer, I like prec/condition damage/toughness. I got two dodge rolls and that’s it. I don’t know where you get this idea that there’s no use for toughness for skilled players, but there are people out there who cannot dodge everything. Furthermore, as a necromancer, I do thousands of sustained DPS with condition damage, and I came nowhere near that with power.
Are you talking about sPvP, OP? Because that’s the only part of the game I can imagine this post makes any sense, and even then I’d still disagree. But you can’t be, because sPvP doesn’t have ascended gear, so I guess we’ll just go with nonsense, then.

Gerroh, we’re not talking about removing your toughness gear, but adding stats. Its stupid that there is two kinds of every ring, those rings could be used for crafted stats.

Can I please get (Condition dmg being the primary stat):

Power, Vitality, Condition Dmg
Toughness, Vitality, Condition Dmg

Thank you. At this point, I have fractal relics to buy whatever I want, but neither the rings, NOR the back item have valuable stats for my build and I am honestly more than angry about this. I worked hard to get those relics, now I can’t buy any of the gear?! I am forced to stop my progression through fractals, because I can not buy and infuse ascended items to get AR to survive past lvl 20…it’s just plain wrong.

And now the new amulets also don’t have the right stats! Please, just give ascended gear the same stat combinations as exotic gear guys!

Completely agree. They finally set the condi damage on engis close to what it was at launch but it’s still nothing like the berserker burst damage in the slightest. This needs some serious work, it should be equal initial damage across all characters.

I think the best option, would be for them to make changes to how condition damage works as a whole.

Why should groups be penalized for having multiple condition damage builds in the same fight? Bleed caps are reached so easy, that players receive diminishing returns on their damage skill,s the more CD built players there are.

They need to simply remove the bleed cap and make adjustments for it, and allow for everyone poison and burn damage to tick individually.

Not to mention in so many places we are heavily penalized when 1/2 our damage does not take effect, such as keep doors, siege equipment being attacked, items in dungeons that must be destroyed. The path in AC that requires effectively fast destroying of mounds for example. That particularly nullifies our value to ridiculous levels.

Poor craftsman blame their tools. Poor players blame their Engineer.
