Hey,

I was wondering if it’d be possible or if it’d actually make sense to rework how Conditions and Condition Removal interact.

Currently, a single condition removal ability (no matter if it’s an Utility Slot Skill, or from Traits/Runes) will get rid of a whole stack of conditions (ie up to 25 bleed/invul stacks, or a single burn/poison) and thus turns conditions builds on classes that have a hard time applying multiple conditions rather useless, since it doesn’t matter if you apply 3 or 20 bleed stacks on your target, they’ll be gone in a second anyways if you can’t cover them up fast enough with other conditions.

Instead, i’d maybe suggest a system where Conditions have a power value … for example Bleed / Invul (single stack) = 1, Confusion = 3, Poison = 4, Burn = 5.
Now let’s say, condition removal abilities would remove up to 10 power, they wouldn’t get rid of a whole 25 bleed stacks, but it’d still leave 15 behind or it could only remove like 3 Confusion stacks … or Burn + Poison …

With this, the Condition Removal from utility Skills could also be given more usefullness, compared to lets say the condition remove on Soldier Rune, certain Traits or other abilties which heal conditions on a side note …

While I like the idea, I would rather see Anet improve how well conditions are applied by certain professions. If all professions could apply conditions faster than they can be removed, this wouldn’t be an issue.

Simplicity is complex.

Good feedback is key to getting the developers to listen to you.

If you actually do the math, how conditions work now is fine. ANY condition build can lay on conditions fast. If you are unable to lay conditions on quickly than you are trying a build with a weapon that isn’t ment for pure condition damage. Look at necromancer scepter/dagger build, it is possible to stack up a target with bleeds insanely fast.

If you cannot stack conditions that quickly than pure condition build simply isn’t efficient for what you are doing.
