Currently: double-click the salvage kit, click the rare item, click confirm, double-click the salvage kit, click the rare item, click confirm, repeat 120 more times.
So much clicking, and it’s obviously intended for rares to be salvaged in bulk, otherwise there wouldn’t be recipes calling for 250 ectos.
When you salvage white items (and blue and green? maybe not green… I’ve never salvaged those), there is no confirmation, and you don’t need to re-use the salvage kit
I suggest: able to press ‘enter’ on the keyboard to confirm salvaging a rare/exotic. and, after confirming, it should stay in salvage mode so you can immediately salvage another one. so instead of 4 clicks in 3 locations to salvage every item, it’s: double click salvage kit, click on rare, keyboard enter, click on rare, keyboard enter, repeat 23 more times until kit is consumed, then double click new salvage kit, etc.
for salvaging 120 rares, this would decrease it from 480 precise clicks (meaning you have to move your mouse all over the place) to 130 easy clicks and the second hand on the keyboard. (decrease from about 6 minutes down to about 30 seconds)
as an added bonus: salvaging 1 item would be almost the same as it currently is. you could still double-click the kit, click the item, click the confirm, click anywhere not on an item (or escape) to exit salvage mode.
How about this for an idea? Just have a bag/panel with one defined slot for a salvage kit. Fill the bag with things you want to salvage and once you drop the kit into the defined slot all items in that bag get salvaged as long as there are uses left in the salvage kit. So if you fill the bag/panel with whites you can drop a low level kit into the slot. Fill it with exotics and you can drop a blsk into it. Once the bag/panel is empty and closed the salvage kit is auto returned to your regular inventory slots.
I added the panel because this could also be done at any craft station with the Master crafter/vendor having a panel that could be opened to do essentially the same thing. Click the items in your bags to salvage, they get dropped into the panel and then add whatever salvage kit you wish to use. Then click salvage.
hmmm, sorry, but no.
I know what you mean and I understand it. but the warning is sadly needed. Just look at the amount of postst bout people loosing important item X or Y despite being warned. Removing it or making it any easier would mean that this would happen even more. I know, there is no cure for stupidity, but still too many people would make msitakes
there would still be a warning. the only difference for the warning is that it would be possible to enter confirm it instead of only mouse click.
